Whom the One Protects Cannot Be Overcome

One who is protected by the Merciful Lord
tis nahee doojaa ko pahuchanhaaraa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
- no one else can rival him. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever the merciful One protects -- no one can stand against them.

The one the One protects cannot be overcome by anyone.
The deeper layer

The Rahao: divine protection is absolute -- the one the One guards is unrivaled (cf. the tongue among teeth; the One guards its servant). Security rests not in your own strength but in being held.

A Question to Sit With

When have you felt truly protected, beyond your own ability to protect yourself?
