When your word carries weight in the presence of the One, then whose opinion could ever make you feel small?
When your voice is welcome before the One, no one else's opinion can make you small.
Jaa kaa kahi-aa dargeh chalai — whose word is accepted in the dargeh, the Court of the One. That person needs no other approval.
The next line is hard to put into English. So kis ka-o nadar lai aavai talai can mean "whom would such a person look down on?" It can also mean "who could ever look down on them?" The freeing reading is the one to hold here. Real standing before the One frees you from anxiously chasing smaller approval.
Think of a player whose coach has just said, "You're on the team." Nobody's shrug in the stands can change that. Being secure in the deepest place ends the hunger for smaller praise.
Whose approval do you sometimes chase — and how would it feel to not need it so much?
