naanak taa ka-o sadaa sukh ho-ay. ||4||33||102||
- O Nanak, they find a lasting peace. ||4||33||102||

In plain words

Some belong wholly to the One, to whom everything already belongs.

Nanak says, they find a peace that lasts and never leaves them.

To belong wholly to the One who owns everything is to find a peace that lasts.
The deeper layer

Belong to the One who owns everything, and you find a peace that lasts.

Jaa kaa sabh kichh taa kaa ho-ay — belong to the One to whom everything belongs. If you belong to the Owner of everything, you lack nothing. This echoes the question at the start of the shabad.

Naanak taa ka-o sadaa sukh ho-ay — Nanak says, they have sadaa sukh, lasting peace. It is not a quick good mood. It is a settled, steady well-being. Think of a child who knows they belong to their family. They do not have to earn their place at the table each night. The whole shabad follows one path: having the One as friend is having everything, and the deepest name for that everything is peace.

A Question to Sit With

What's the difference between being happy for a moment and being at peace for good?
