The Inner Place of Peace Is Spacious and Endless

ਤਹ ਸਹਜ ਅਖਾਰੇ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਨੰਤਾ ॥
tah sahj akhaaray anayk anantaa.
The numerous, countless places of celestial peace
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਸੰਗੀ ਸੰਤਾ ॥੩॥
paarbarahm kay sangee santaa. ||3||
- there, the Saints dwell, in the Company of the Supreme Lord God. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In that place of natural peace there are countless open spaces, endless room. There the seekers gather, in the company of the One who is beyond all limits.

The inner place of peace is spacious and endless — and you're in good company there, not alone.
The deeper layer

The inner place of peace is wide open, with endless room, and it is full of good friends.

Tah sahj akhaaray anayk anantaa — there are many, endless grounds of natural peace. An akhaaraa is a wrestling ring or a gathering ground, like a big open playground where people meet. Here it means wide inner spaces of sahaj, natural peace, too many to count.

Paarbarahm kay sangee santaa — the saints are there, companions of the Boundless One.

So the inner world is not lonely. It is full of friends. Those who reach that inner peace find they are in good company there, with the One and with each other.

A Question to Sit With

Does peace feel lonely to you, or can it also feel like being among good company?
