In plain words

There it is pure, endless gladness — no sorrow, no sense of being split or divided. Such a home has been given as a gift.

In the deepest inner home there is endless joy and no sense of being divided — and it is given, not earned.
The deeper layer

In that deepest home there is endless joy, and nothing is split apart.

Harakh anant — there is endless joy. Sog nahee bee-aa — no sorrow, and no second. Bee-aa means a "second," the feeling of being split off from the One. Gurbani also calls it doojaa, duality.

When that feeling melts away, Ik Onkar, "there is One," becomes real inside you. Where there is truly only One, there is no split to be sad about. Think of a wave that realizes it has always been part of the ocean. There is nothing left to miss.

So ghar gur naanak ka-o dee-aa — the Guru has given Nanak this home. Dee-aa means given. This home is a gift of grace. It is not a fortress you break into by effort. The shabad ends in the peace of a joy that is whole.

A Question to Sit With

What would it feel like to be somewhere with no fear of being left out or split off from anyone?
