Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The One has blessed me with the true wealth of the Name.
And my heart's one wish is to hold that Name close, with the teaching alongside me.
The truest wealth is the Name — and it is given, not bought.
The rahau. Raas is capital, the wealth you trade with — and it is dee-ee, given, not earned. The isat (the heart's chosen treasure, its wish) is gur sang dhi-aan — to hold the Name with the Guru. Grace gives the wealth; love wants only to keep it near.
A Question to Sit With
What is something valuable in your life that you were given rather than earned?
