At Home In The Name

naamay dargeh mukh ujlay.
Through the Naam, one's face becomes radiant in the Court of the Lord.
naamay saglay kul uDhray.
Through the Naam, all one's generations are saved.
naam hamaaray kaaraj seeDh.
Through the Naam, my affairs are resolved.
naam sang ih manoo-aa geeDh. ||3||
My mind is accustomed to the Naam. ||3||

In plain words

Holding the Name, a person stands bright and clear before the One, and whole families are lifted along with them.

My tasks fall into place, and my mind has grown so used to the Name that it feels like home.

Live with the Name long enough and it stops being a practice and becomes home.
The deeper layer

Mukh ujlay — a radiant, unashamed face before the One — comes through the Name. Its blessing is not private: saglay kul udhray, generations are uplifted. And manoo-aa geedh — the mind grows accustomed, settled into the Name like a bird into its nest. The Name becomes not a task but a home.

A Question to Sit With

What is a good habit that has become so natural it feels like part of you?
