In plain words

In the company of those who love the One, my mind grows clean and clear.

With them I remember the One, old mistakes fall away, and something inside me lights up.

The company you keep quietly clears or clouds your heart.
The deeper layer

The Guru says the people we spend time with shape the heart inside us.

Four times the verse says jaa kai sang, which means "in whose company." Each time it names a gift that good friends bring.

With them, the mind becomes nirmal, clean and clear. With them, we remember the One. With them, kilbikh, our wrongs and mistakes, fall away. With them comes ridai pargaas, a light switching on in the heart.

Think of sitting next to a friend who is calm and kind. Soon you feel calmer too. Good company works like that. The people around you rub off on you, so choose friends who help you shine.

A Question to Sit With

Which people leave you feeling clearer and better than before?
