There Is No One Else Like This

parabh da-i-aal doosar ko-ee naahee.
There is no other like the Merciful Lord God.
ghat ghat antar sarab samaahee.
He is contained deep within each and every heart.
apnay daas kaa halat palat savaarai.
He embellishes His slave, here and hereafter.
patit paavan parabh birad tumHaarai. ||2||
It is Your nature, God, to purify sinners. ||2||

In plain words

There is truly no one else as kind as the One.

The One lives deep inside every single heart, filling everything.

The One makes things right for a loved one, here and everywhere.

It is simply Your nature, One, to lift people up and make them clean.

Lifting people up isn't something the One decides to do — it's what the One is.
The deeper layer

Prabh da-i-aal doosar ko-ee naahee — the One's kindness is without equal. The literal patit paavan ('purifier of sinners') is rendered as lifting people up and making them clean, keeping the focus on restoration rather than shame. The key word is birad — the One's innate nature, its standing habit. Mercy is not a mood the One is talked into; it is what the One simply is.

A Question to Sit With

What is a kindness that comes so naturally to you that you barely notice it?
