In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

I bow with all my heart to the perfect Guide.

Meeting the Guide bears fruit, and so does serving with love.

The One knows every heart from within, the shaper of all that unfolds.

All day long, a loving heart is steeped in the color of the Name.

Bow to the guide who knows your heart from the inside.
The deeper layer

This is the one Ashtapadee (eight-versed hymn) in Guru Arjan's Gond set, and it opens by bowing to the pooray gurdayv — the perfect Guide. Safal moorat safal jaa kee sayv — meeting the Guide and serving with love both bear fruit. Antarjaamee ... bidhaataa names the One as the inner-knower and the shaper of destiny. And naam rang raataa — steeped in the color of the Name all day — brings back the dye-image: love that soaks all the way through.

A Question to Sit With

Who is a guide in your life whose help has really borne fruit?
