In plain words

Drink in the sweet nectar always; may you live long, and may remembering the One fill you with endless delight.

May joy and gladness be yours, may your hopes come true, and may worry never get its hooks into you.

A blessed life isn't joyless — it's joy with a source that never runs dry, so worry can't get its hooks in.
The deeper layer

A blessed life is full of joy that comes from a well that never runs dry.

The blessing grows bigger and bigger. Long life. Endless delight. Joy and fun. Hopes that come true. No worries. Notice that the mother wishes her child real happiness, and lots of it. She is not asking her child to give up joy.

But the joy has a deep root. Amrit peevhu — drink the amrit, the sweet nectar of remembering the One. Har simrat anad anantaa — remembering the One brings endless delight. So the joy has a source that cannot be used up. Picture a spring in the hills that keeps filling the pond, even in summer. That is the good life here. It is not pleasure chased and then lost. It is gladness rising from a well that stays full. Kabeh na bi-aapai chintaa — worry never gets its grip on you.

A Question to Sit With

What joy in your life comes from a source deep enough that it doesn't leave you anxious about losing it?
