In plain words

They call themselves silent sages, yogis, learned scholars — and the glitter has every one of them on a leash.

The three great gods and all the countless lesser gods were left astonished by her power.

No title makes anyone automatically immune to the glitter — sages, scholars, even gods were caught by it.
The deeper layer

The shabad opens with a sweeping leveling: the most impressive spiritual titles — sages, yogis, scholars — are all "under Maya's control." Even "the three gods" (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva) and the "330,000,000 demi-gods" of tradition were "astonished" by her reach. Maya here is the great glittering illusion that makes us forget the One — and the point is humbling: no resume, human or divine, is automatically immune. Recognizing how universal the pull is, is the first honest step toward not being ruled by it.

A Question to Sit With

What makes you assume you're 'above' being fooled by something? Where might that confidence be a blind spot?
