Why should I feel worry or anxiety, when I am here for only a short time. ||1||Pause||

In plain words

Keep the One always in mind.

Why would I fill up with worry and dread, when I'm only here for a little while?

You're here only a short while — most of what you worry about won't outlast you, so why let it eat the little time you have?
The deeper layer

The Pause line offers a piercingly simple antidote to anxiety: the shortness of our stay. "Why should I feel worry, when I am here for only a short time?" Rather than making life feel meaningless, the brevity is used to dissolve worry — most of what we fret over won't outlast us, so why let it eat the little time we have? The one thing worth the brief span is remembrance. Brevity, rightly seen, is a reason for peace, not panic.

A Question to Sit With

If you really felt how brief your time is, which of today's worries would simply lose their grip?
