Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:
ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਬਸਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
tooN daataa jee-aa sabhnaa kaa bashu mayray man maahee.
You are the Giver of all beings; please, come to dwell within my mind.
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਰਿਦ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਏ ਤਹ ਭਰਮੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥
charan kamal rid maahi samaa-ay tah bharam anDhayraa naahee. ||1||
That heart, within which Your lotus feet are enshrined, suffers no darkness or doubt. ||1||

You are the Giver to every being — please, come and live in my mind.
The heart that holds Your lotus feet knows no darkness and no doubt.
Darkness and doubt aren't argued away — they're crowded out when a light takes up residence in the heart.
A simple, warm invitation: come and dwell. The One is named as the universal Giver, then asked to become a resident of the heart. And the promise is clear cause-and-effect: "that heart, within which Your lotus feet are enshrined, suffers no darkness or doubt." Darkness and doubt are not argued away but crowded out by a Presence taking up residence. Fill the room with light and the shadows have nowhere to be.
