Through His Kindness, the Kind Lord pervades us; through Guru's Teachings, our wanderings cease.

Touching the philosopher's stone, metal is transformed into gold. Such is the glorious greatness of the Society of the Saints. ||6||

In plain words

By its kindness the Kind One fills us; through the teaching, our wandering stops.

Touch the philosopher's stone, and metal turns to gold — such is the glory of the company of the good.

Good company is alchemical — you become gold not by your own effort but by what you stand next to.
The deeper layer

The verse names two effects of grace: the wandering "ceases" (the restless circling finally stilled), and transformation happens by contact — "touching the philosopher's stone, metal is transformed into gold." And the paaras, the transforming stone, is identified with "the Society of the Saints." Good company is alchemical: you become gold not by your own effort but by what you stand next to. The raag returns again to its social gospel — we are changed by the company we keep.

A Question to Sit With

Who or what is your 'philosopher's stone' — the company that quietly turns you to gold?
