In the Dark Age of Kali Yuga, the devotees earn the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord; they obtain the supreme status of the Lord.

Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to his Guru; when he was wandering in doubt, He placed him on the Path. ||1||

In plain words

Even in a hard, distracted age, the devotees earn the treasure of the Name and reach the highest place.

Serving the teaching, they enshrine the Name and remember it day and night. At home in their own selves, unattached, they burn away ego and clinging. They save themselves and save the whole world — blessed are the mothers who bore them. Nanak is a sacrifice to the teaching that set his wandering feet on the path.

A hard, distracting age isn't an excuse — it's the very place the devoted quietly earn the treasure, and bless everyone around them.
The deeper layer

A landmark Shalok on Kali Yuga — the "Dark Age." Rather than despairing of a hard, distracted age, it says the devotees "earn the treasure of the Naam" in it and "obtain the supreme status." The difficult age is not an excuse but an opportunity. And note the widening blessing: "they save themselves, and they save the whole world" — the good of the devoted overflows to all, and even "the mothers who gave birth to them" are blessed.

A Question to Sit With

Do you treat 'the times' as an excuse or an opportunity? What could you earn precisely now?
