The One is the Truest of the true; true is the Word of the teaching.
Through the teaching, truth is realized, and you are easily absorbed in the True One. Night and day they stay awake, not sleeping; in wakefulness the night of their lives passes. Those who taste the essence through the teaching are the most worthy. Without the teaching no one has found the One; the unaware waste away.
The eighteenth Pauree praises truth and wakefulness — the devotees "remain awake, and do not sleep." Spiritual wakefulness is a recurring watchword: not literal insomnia but a mind that does not fall back into the forgetting-sleep of Maya. "In wakefulness, the night of their lives passes" — they spend their whole life alert to the One, and that alertness is itself the reward.
Where do you keep 'falling asleep' to what matters? What helps you stay awake to it?
