Beautiful is the season when I am joined with my Beloved.
Nanak says: I don't forget the One for a moment; I hold it in mind always.
The same life, forgotten or remembered, is either a croaking raven in an empty house or a beautiful season with the Beloved.
The bright answer to P42's empty house. Union with the Beloved makes the "season" beautiful — and the mark of it is unbroken remembrance: "I do not forget Him for a moment." Where forgetting emptied the house (P42), remembering fills the season with beauty. The two Shaloks are a matched pair: the same life, forgotten or remembered, is a croaking raven or a beautiful season.
A Question to Sit With
What turns an 'empty' stretch of your life into a 'beautiful season'? Is it what you're remembering?
