My mind, say the Name of the One again and again.
The one who faces the teaching is dyed deep red like a poppy; even their shawl is soaked through with the One's love.
When love goes deep enough, it soaks all the way through — dyeing you a color that shows even on the outside.
The Pause line pictures the devotee "imbued with the deep red color of the poppy" — love as a vivid, saturating dye that colors not just the heart but even "his shawl," the outermost layer. When love goes deep enough, it soaks all the way through and shows on the outside. This is the raag's rang imagery — devotion as being dyed a color you can't wash out, visible in everything.
A Question to Sit With
What do you love so deeply that it 'colors' even the outermost, visible parts of your life?
