I wander around here and there, like a madman, bewildered, seeking out my Darling Lord.

I shall be the slave of the slave of whoever unites me with my Darling Beloved. ||1||

In plain words

I wander here and there like someone half-crazed, searching for my Darling.

I would be the servant of the servant of anyone who unites me with my Beloved.

Deep longing will gladly serve anyone who helps it reach its Beloved — love makes you humble about accepting help.
The deeper layer

The verse names devotion's restless intensity — "like a madman, bewildered, seeking out my Darling." Love makes the seeker a little "crazy," unable to settle until reunion. And the humility of longing: "I shall be the slave of the slave of whoever unites me with my Beloved." The one who would bring you to your Beloved earns your lowest, gladdest service. Longing this deep will gladly take any help, from anyone, to reach its love.

A Question to Sit With

What do you long for so much you'd gratefully accept help from anyone who could bring you to it?
