The Frantic Outer Search Ends in an Inner Finding

By Guru's Grace, servant Nanak has obtained the wealth of the Lord within. ||2||3||

In plain words

So join yourself to the almighty true teaching, and drink in the nectar of the One.

By grace, Nanak has found the wealth of the One within.

The frantic outer search ends in an inner finding — what you chased everywhere was waiting inside.
The deeper layer

The verse gives the restless seeker of P1 a place to land: "align yourself with the... True Guru" and "drink in... the Ambrosial Nectar." The madly-searching longing finds its rest in the teaching and the nectar of remembrance. And the treasure was "within" all along — "obtained the wealth of the Lord within." The frantic outer search ends in an inner finding: what the seeker chased everywhere was waiting inside.

A Question to Sit With

What have you searched for 'here and there' that might actually be found by turning inward?
