I would give anything for the one who sings the One's praises.
I live by the sight of the true teaching, in whose mind the Name lives.
Love of the truly good and honesty about your own shortfall go together — reverence makes candor safe.
The Pause line is devotion to the devoted — "a sacrifice to one who sings the Glorious Praises." The speaker lives by "the Blessed Vision" of the teaching. This sets a warm, humble frame before the honest self-examination to come: the one who reveres the truly devoted is about to admit, candidly, how far short of them he feels. Love of the good and honesty about oneself go together.
A Question to Sit With
Who do you revere enough that being around them makes you honest about your own gaps?
