Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Mother, I rest my attention on the teaching's feet.
As the One shows mercy, the lotus of my heart opens, and I keep remembering it always.
You can't pry a heart open — it blossoms when grace warms it; your part is simply to rest at the feet.
The Pause line pairs a humble posture (attention at the teaching's feet) with a blossoming ("the lotus of my heart blossoms"). The opening of the heart is by mercy, not force — you cannot pry a flower open; it blooms when the conditions are right. Rest at the feet, and let grace do the blossoming.
A Question to Sit With
What conditions help your heart 'open' rather than being forced?
