Dear One, I long to see You.
I hold this beautiful meditation day and night; You are dearer to me than my own soul, dearer than life.
To love the One more than your own life is to love the source that is more truly you than your life is.
The Pause line raises love to its highest pitch — "dearer to me than my soul, dearer than life itself." The One is loved more than one's own existence. This is not hyperbole but the discovery that the source of your life is more truly you than your life is; loving it above your own soul is loving your own deepest ground.
A Question to Sit With
What do you love in a way that feels deeper even than self-preservation?
