Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Worship at the feet of your Master, and take shelter there.
Whatever the One does, take joy in it.
Rest in the One's shelter, and take joy in whatever the One does.
The verse says poojaa charnaa thaakur sarnaa: bow at the feet of the Master and take shelter there. Sarnaa means shelter, a safe place to stand, like a porch in the rain.
Then: so-ee kusal jo parabh jee-o karnaa, "whatever the One does, that is well." Kusal means being well, being okay. This is the seed of contentment. It is like a sailor who works with the wind instead of fighting it. The wind still blows, and the boat moves forward.
This trust keeps you doing your part. You keep working, and you trust that the One who gave you everything is caring for you.
What is something hard that later turned out to hold a gift?
