A Sacrifice To That Moment

parabh kirpaa tay sant paa-ay vaar vaar naanak uh bayrai. ||4||5||16||
By the Grace of God, I have found the Saints. Over and over again, Nanak is a sacrifice to that moment. ||4||5||16||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

By the grace of the One, I have found the holy ones.

Nanak says: over and over again, I would give my all for that moment.

Some moments are so precious you give thanks for them again and again.
The deeper layer

Finding holy people is a gift, and that moment is worth everything.

Parabh kirpaa tay sant paa-ay: by the One's grace, the saints are found. Vaar vaar naanak uh bayrai: again and again, Nanak is a sacrifice to that moment. Bayraa is the time, the moment. To be "a sacrifice" to a moment is Gurbani's way of saying: I would give anything for this. I treasure it above all.

A Question to Sit With

What is a moment in your life you feel deeply grateful for?
