Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

O my mind, remember the Supreme One.

Nanak says: turned toward the Guru, I listen to the praises of the One.

A steady mind is one that keeps returning, gently, to what it loves.
The deeper layer

Keep calling your mind back to the Supreme One, and listen, turned toward the Guru, to the One's praises.

Paarbarahm ka-o simrahu manaa: remember the Supreme One, O mind. Gurmukh: one whose face is turned toward the Guru. Har jas sunaa: listening to the One's praises. Listening, like remembering, is a practice you can come back to again and again.

A Question to Sit With

What is a gentle reminder you could give your own mind today?
