In plain words

The humble people of the One are great. They are my breath of life, my beloveds. Meeting them, my mind fills with faith.

Deep in my heart I am glad in the One who is everywhere. With love and joy, I dwell on the One who is steady and never moves.

Against everything that shifts, there is a love that holds steady.
The deeper layer

The One's humble people fill you with faith, and deep inside you rest in the One who never shifts.

Hamray paraan pareetam jan ootam means "the humble people are my breath of life and my beloveds." Jin mili-aa man ho-ay partee-t means "meeting them, the mind fills with faith."

Asthir raam ravi-aa rang pareet means "with love and joy I dwell on the steady One." After the moving shade of a tree comes something that stays, like the North Star that sailors steered by while everything else in the sky turned.

A Question to Sit With

What is something in your life that stays steady no matter what changes?
