Let everyone meditate on the Lord, the Lord, the All-pervading Lord, by which all disputes and conflicts with Death are ended. ||12||

In plain words

The Creator is Lord of the world, Master of the universe, the boundless Being beyond all weighing.

Remember the Name of the One, my Gursikhs; the One is the highest, and the Name of the One is beyond price.

Those who remember the One in their hearts, day and night, meet the One — there is no doubt about it.

By great good fortune they join the Sangat and speak the word of the perfect True Guru.

So let everyone remember the One, Naaraa-in, Naaraa-in, the One in all — and every quarrel with death is over.

Hold the One close, and even the fear of endings quietly ends.
The deeper layer

Remember the One day and night, and even the quarrel with death comes to an end.

Atol means too great to weigh, and amol means too precious to put a price on. Nahee har rol: there is no doubt, no mix-up, about meeting the One. Naaraa-in is an old name for the One who lives in all.

Jam jhagarh jhagol: the long argument with death. Jam stands for death in the old stories. Remembering the One, that argument is chookaa, finished, the way a storm ends and the sky turns quiet.

A Question to Sit With

What worry gets smaller the moment you remember what matters most?
