Your humble servants chant and meditate on You, O Lord; they are sublime and exalted. I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them. ||1||

In plain words

O One, my Master, be kind to me and set me to serving You. I chant and meditate on the One, I chant and meditate, I chant and meditate on the Lord of the Universe.

Your people who chant Your Naam are noble and high. I give myself to them, again and again, again and again.

Serving and cheering the ones who remember goodness is its own joy.
The deeper layer

Ask to serve the One, keep on remembering, and honor the people who remember the One.

Har kirpaa kar su-aamee ham laa-ay har sayvaa means "O Master, be kind and set me to Your service." Sayvaa is service, helping with your hands and heart. It is the gift being asked for.

Har jap japay har jap japay repeats like a heartbeat: remembering, and remembering again. Ghum ghumay ghum ghum jees means "I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice": glad giving of yourself to the people who remember the One.

A Question to Sit With

Who do you look up to so much you would happily help them any way you could?
