In plain words

O One, You are great, the greatest of the great, the highest of the high. You do whatever pleases You.

Nanak says: through the Guru's teaching, I, Your servant, drink the sweet nectar. Blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed and praised is the Guru.

The sweetest thing there is comes freely through the Guru's wisdom.
The deeper layer

The One is greater than great, and the Guru's teaching gives you the sweet nectar to drink.

Har tum vad vaday vaday vad oochay means "O One, You are great, greatest of the great, high." So karahi je tuDh bhaavees means "You do whatever pleases You."

Jan naanak amrit pee-aa gurmatee means "servant Nanak drinks the nectar through the Guru's teaching." Amrit is sweet, life-giving nectar, like cool water on a hot day. Guru Ram Das signs his verses as Nanak. The five-fold Dhan dhan is thanks overflowing: blessed, blessed is the Guru.

A Question to Sit With

What is the sweetest thing you have ever been given that you did not have to earn?
