Through and through, O Nanak, merging into the Light, you shall never again suffer pain and punishment. ||2||2||5||

In plain words

Here is the way of Yoga, of wisdom and devotion, deep awareness of the Word, sure knowing of the essence of everything, chanting, and meditation that never breaks.

Nanak says: woven through and through, merging into the Light, you will never again suffer pain or punishment.

When your light is woven into a greater Light, pain loses its way to you.
The deeper layer

Every practice comes together in steady remembrance, and merged into the Light, you are beyond the reach of pain.

Jog jugat gi-aan bhugat ... jap tap akhandlee: the whole toolkit of practice, held unbroken. Ot pot is warp and weft, the threads woven through cloth. Mil jot: light merged into Light. Dukh na dandlee: no pain and no punishment. The soul woven into the One is out of their reach.

A Question to Sit With

What practice makes you feel steady and woven into something larger?
