In plain words

Day and night I remember the Guru's feet, and the One, Har, Har, Har, comes to live in my mind.

Praise of the One, Har, Har, Har, is the finest thing in all the world. That praise is the fragrant sandalwood I rub, again and again.

Some good practices, like sandalwood, give more sweetness the more you return to them.
The deeper layer

Remembering the One again and again is like rubbing sandalwood: the sweetness grows.

Gur kay pag simra-o: I remember the Guru's feet, a picture of humble, steady devotion. The sandalwood image (ghas chandan jas ghasi-aa) is a classic Gurbani picture. Rubbed sandalwood gives off more sweetness the more it is rubbed, and praise does too. Repetition here is fragrance, never rote.

A Question to Sit With

What good habit gives you more the more you do it?
