O Lord, I wash the feet of holy people.
Let my wrongs burn away in an instant. O my Master, please be kind to me.
A single act of love and humility can loosen what has weighed on you a long time.
Washing the feet of holy people is the humblest kind of love, and the One's kindness can burn old wrongs away in a moment.
This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Saadhoo charan dhuveejai: I wash the feet of the holy, an old act of humble love and service. Kilbikh dahan: wrongs burnt away, and khin antar, in an instant. The cleaning comes as a gift: kirpaa keejai, please be kind to me.
