Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Your humble ones stand at Your door with open hands, longing so much. Please be generous and give to them.

Save me, save me, O One. I have come to Your shelter. Plant the Guru's teaching and the Naam deep inside me.

Standing with open hands is a way of trusting.
The deeper layer

Standing at the door with open hands is a way of trusting a generous Giver.

Mangat jan deen: the humble ones who ask, kharay dar thaadhay, standing at the door. Daan deejai: please give. Taraahi taraahi: save me, save me. Saran prabh aa-ay: I have come to Your shelter. Gurmat naam drirheejai: plant the Guru's teaching and the Naam firmly within me.
