Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Shiva, Naarad, the thousand-headed snake king and the silent sages all long for the dust of holy people's feet.

Every world and every place where holy people set their feet becomes holy.

Goodness makes any place holy — even the greatest long to be near it.
The deeper layer

Even the greatest long for the dust of humble, holy people, and wherever those people walk becomes holy ground.

Sankar is Shiva, Naarad a wise sage of the old stories, Saykhnaag the thousand-headed snake king, and mun the silent sages. All of them long for saadhoo kee dhoor, the dust of the holy. Bhavan bhavan pavit hohi sabh: all the worlds become holy, jah saadhoo charan dhareejai, wherever the holy place their feet. Goodness makes the ground holy.

A Question to Sit With

What place feels special to you because of the good people who are there?
