Give up your fear of the Righteous Judge of Dharma, and you shall be lifted up and saved from drowning in the sea of poison. ||2||

In plain words

Let go of shame, and give up all your pride. Join the Sangat of holy people and stay there.

Your fear of the Judge of what is right comes to an end, and you are pulled out of the sea of poison where you were drowning.

Setting down both shame and pride is what makes room for the Sangat.
The deeper layer

Letting go of shame and pride makes room to stay in the Sangat, and there fear comes to an end.

Taj laaj ahankaar sabh tajee-ai: let go of shame and give up all pride. Mil saadhoo sang raheejai: join the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One — and stay there. Dharam raa-ay kee kaan chukhaavai: the fear of Dharam Raa-ay, the judge of what is right, comes to an end. Bikh dubdaa kaadh kadheejai: the one drowning in poison is pulled out.

A Question to Sit With

What is something heavy — a worry or an old hurt — you would like to set down?
