In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

I cannot forget the One anymore — He stays in my mind all on His own.

This love has grown so strong that it has quietly burned away the smaller, sticky things that used to pull at me.

Think of the little rainbird who waits with open beak for one special raindrop, or the fish that cannot live a moment out of water — that is how I am with You.

Singing Your praises has become as natural to me as breathing. It is simply who I am now.

When a love grows deep enough, keeping it becomes as natural as breathing.
The deeper layer

Bisrat naahi — the One is no longer forgotten; the remembering has become effortless. The love has grown prabal, strong enough to burn away lesser attachments. Two beloved Gurbani images carry it: the chaatrik (rainbird) that lives for one particular raindrop, and the meen (fish) that cannot survive an instant out of water — pictures of devotion that has become need. Tayv ayh paree — this has become my very nature: a beautiful sounding of sahaj, devotion so settled it is second nature.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you love so much that doing it feels completely natural now?
