In plain words

My mind is the sturdy ox that carries the load; quiet meditation is the road it walks; and I have packed my bags full of wisdom for the trip.

And now I can tell you, friends: my goods have made it all the way home.

Load your journey with wisdom, and your life arrives exactly where it should.
The deeper layer

Our inner journey is like a trader's trip, and the goods arrive home.

Kabir pictures a trader's caravan, a line of loaded animals on the road. Man kar bail: make the mind the bull. Surat kar paidaa: make awareness the road. Surat means attention turned toward the One. Then gi-aan gon bhar daaree: fill the packs with wisdom, gi-aan.

Think of packing a school bag the night before a trip. The right things inside make the whole day go well.

Nibhee khayp hamaaree: my goods have reached their destination. The life-trade is complete. Load your journey with wisdom, and it arrives where it should.

A Question to Sit With

What are you packing for the long journey of your life?
