In plain words

Now I have found my teacher, the one who brings peace — and it came gently, with ease, not by force.

The moment I saw that One, my heart wrapped around Him and would not let go.

Joy bubbled up inside me like a spring. And the words of my Beloved — how sweet they are, sweeter than anything.

What is truly yours often arrives with ease, and joy simply wells up.
The deeper layer

Sahj sukh-daa-ik — the Guru is found with sahaj, the natural, effortless ease that the project lens describes as the soul no longer fighting its own nature. Laptaanee is the mind clinging close; rahas is welling joy; amrit baanee is the Beloved's speech tasted as nectar. Damodar is one of the many affectionate names for the One. Guru Arjan signs the shabad (naanak).

A Question to Sit With

Can you remember a time something good came to you easily, almost like a gift?
