In plain words

I give myself completely to those who praise the True One. Those who keep the True One in mind become *dyed* in truth, soaked through and through. And in the end they melt into the Truest of the True, the way a true note disappears into the music.

Like merges into like — become true all the way through, and there's nothing left to keep you separate from the True.
The deeper layer

This line says: whatever you keep your attention on, you slowly become, until you melt into it.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. It traces the whole journey of sach, truth, in one breath. Sach dhi-aa-in say sach raatay means "those who keep the True One in mind are dyed in truth." Sachay sach samaavani-aa means "the true ones melt into the True."

So there are three steps: hold the True One in mind, become dyed in truth, merge into Truth. Holding leads to coloring. Coloring leads to merging. Raatay, dyed, is the rang of Raag Maajh, the color that sinks in and doesn't wash out. What you keep your attention on, you slowly become. And what you become, you finally melt into.

The ending hides a lovely logic: like melts into like. A drop of water can disappear into the ocean because it is already made of the same thing. A soul that has become sach, true and real, can melt into the True One because now it shares the same nature. That is why the becoming matters. You don't merge into Truth by being clever or lucky. You merge by actually becoming true, until nothing is left to keep you apart.

See what this teaches about simran, keeping the One alive in your mind. It isn't a trick or a trade. It is slow dyeing, like a tea bag in hot water. Each time you turn your attention to what is real, a bit more color soaks in. After a while, truth isn't something you do. It is something you are.

Ha-o vaaree jee-o vaaree sach salaahni-aa means "I give myself completely to those who praise the True One." That shows the singer's heart: deep love for anyone living this way, because their true-dyed lives show the merging is real and possible. This pause line is the seed. Each verse after it shows truth filling another corner of life, body, tongue, mind and heart, until the whole person is dyed through and ready to melt home.

A Question to Sit With

What's something you've become good at or shaped like, simply by giving it your attention again and again?
