True are the bodies of those whose tongues are attuned to Truth. They hear the Truth, and speak it with their mouths. ||2||

In plain words

Wherever I look, the True One is there — in every single place, nothing left out. By the Guru's grace, I've settled Him into my mind. And once you do, your whole body becomes true: your tongue gets dyed in truth, so you *hear* what's true and *speak* what's true. The inside truth flows out through everything you do.

You see outside what you've made room for inside — settle truth in your heart, and suddenly it's shining everywhere.
The deeper layer

This verse says: settle the One inside you, and you start to see the One everywhere.

Jah daykhaa sach sabhnee thaa-ee means "wherever I look, the True One is in every place." This is Ik Onkar, "there is One," not just believed but actually seen. The world hasn't changed. The seeing has. Someone lost in their ego sees a jumble of separate things to grab. An awake eye sees the one sach, the True One, shining through every face, every leaf, every place. Look anywhere, and there the One is.

The middle line tells us how this seeing happens. Gur parsaadee man vasaa-ee means "by the Guru's grace, I settle the One in my mind." Seeing truth everywhere isn't something you do by squinting harder. It comes when the One is settled inside you first, by grace. There is a deep order here. The truth you carry inside lets you notice the truth outside. You see outside what you have made room for inside. It's like learning a new word and then suddenly hearing it everywhere. Settle the One in your mind, and suddenly the One is everywhere, because now your eyes match.

The last line shows truth filling the whole person. Tan sachaa rasnaa sach raatee means "the body is true, the tongue is dyed in truth." Then a lovely little loop. Sach sun aakh vakhaanni-aa means "they hear truth and speak truth." Truth comes in through the ears and flows out through the mouth, with a truth-soaked person in between, like clean water through a clean pipe. There is no gap between what goes in and what comes out, no falseness in the middle to twist it.

That is what honesty really means: being all of one piece. The seeing, the hearing, the speaking, even the body become sach. The person is simply true all the way through, dyed like the soul in the pause line. And it all started by letting grace settle the One inside.

A Question to Sit With

Is there a gap between what you truly believe inside and what you say and do outside — or do they match all the way through?
