Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Every breath of wind, all day and all night, is whispering your Name. The earth itself serves quietly at your feet.
You live in every kind of creature that is born, and in every word that's ever spoken. And somewhere deep down, every single heart loves you.
This one says the whole world is already praising the One. We only need to wake up and join in.
After the gods searched and the humble heart found the One by singing, this verse steps back. The One they were all looking for was never really hiding. The One shows up everywhere in creation, if you have eyes to see. Aath pahar tuDh jaapay pavnaa — all day and all night, the wind repeats Your Name. Every breeze is like a prayer; the wind itself is doing simran, keeping the One in mind. Dhartee sayvak paa-ik charnaa — the earth serves at Your feet.
Then the picture grows to all of life: khaanee banee sarab nivaasee — You live in every khaanee and every banee. Khaanee means the ways living things come to be. Old teaching named four: from an egg, from a mother, from the damp earth, and from a seed. Naming them all is a way of saying every living thing, with no exceptions, is a home for the One. Banee means speech: the One is present in every word any creature speaks. There is no corner of the living world the One has left.
The verse ends on its closest note: sabhnaa kai man bhaavani-aa — You are dear to every mind. Under all the noise and muddle in every heart, there is a love for the One. Often forgotten, often buried, but always there. It's like a song playing quietly in a busy room: once you notice it, you hear it everywhere. The wind, the earth, every creature, every word: the whole world is already praising. Our part is only to wake up and join the song.
If everything around you were quietly 'singing' its source, what would it take for you to start hearing it?
