blessed, blessed is the blanket worn by Krishna. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Blessed, blessed is the plain wool of the sheep,

blessed is the simple blanket the Beloved wraps around Himself.

The plainest, simplest thing becomes precious when love touches it.
The deeper layer

The "blessed, blessed" (dhan dhan) litany spreads outward: even the ordinary wool, even the humble blanket the Beloved wears, is blessed by its nearness to Him. Nothing is too plain to be made holy by love. Namdev's genius is finding the sacred in the humblest things.

A Question to Sit With

What ordinary object feels special to you because of who it belongs to?
