He alone is fearless, who has no destiny written on His head.

God Himself is unseen; He reveals Himself through His wondrous creative power.

He Himself is unattached, unborn and self-existent. O Nanak, through the Guru's Teachings, He is found. ||12||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Fearless is the One, with nothing written over its head.
Unseen, the One shows itself through its wonderful, world-making power.
Unattached, unborn, standing on its own; Nanak says: through the Guru's wisdom, it is found.
The One depends on nothing and is free in a way nothing else is.
Here are echoes of the Mool Mantar: the One is nirbha-o (with no fate written over it), ajonee (unborn), and sambha-o (self-existent), revealed through kudrat, its wondrous creative power. It is a picture of the universe full of wonder.
