Maaroo, Solhay, Third Mehl:
ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
aapay kartaa sabh jis karnaa.
O Creator, it is You Yourself who does all.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾ ॥
jee-a jant sabh tayree sarnaa.
All beings and creatures are under Your Protection.
ਆਪੇ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਹੇ ॥੧॥
aapay gupat vartai sabh antar gur kai sabad pachhaataa hay. ||1||
You are hidden, and yet permeating within all; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, You are realized. ||1||

O Maker, it is You who does everything.
Every living being, small and large, rests safe in Your care.
You are hidden and yet flowing through everything, and through the Guru's Word we come to know You.
Every living thing already rests in the One's care.
This Solhe opens with total refuge: jee-a jant sabh tayree sarnaa — all beings are in Your shelter. The One is gupat (hidden) yet vartai sabh antar (pervading all within). Knowing comes gur kai sabad, through the Word.
