ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤਾਏ ॥
aapay sachaa sach vartaa-ay.
The True Lord Himself makes Truth pervasive.
ਇਕਿ ਜਨ ਸਾਚੈ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥
ik jan saachai aapay laa-ay.
He attaches some humble beings to the Truth.
ਸਾਚੋ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਹਾ ਹੇ ॥੨॥
saacho sayveh saach kamaaveh naamay sach samaahaa hay. ||2||
They serve the True Lord and practice Truth; through the Name, they are absorbed in the True Lord. ||2||

The true One spreads what is true all through creation.
It gently draws certain hearts toward that truth.
They serve it, they live it, and they melt into it through the Name.
Living the truth matters more than only believing it.
Sachaa sach vartaa-ay — the One makes truth pervade everything. Being drawn to it (aapay laa-ay) is grace; the response is to saach kamaaveh, to practice and live truth, not just believe it — sach as a way of life.
