ਭੰਨੈ ਘੜੇ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਸਾਜੇ ॥
bhannai gharhay savaaray saajay.
He destroys, creates, embellishes and fashions all beings,
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਜੰਤ ਪਾਜੇ ॥
maa-i-aa mohi doojai jant paajay.
and attaches them to duality, attachment and Maya.
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਸਦਾ ਅੰਧੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਜਮ ਕਾ ਜੇਵੜਾ ਗਲਿ ਫਾਹਾ ਹੇ ॥੬॥
manmukh fireh sadaa anDh kamaaveh jam kaa jayvrhaa gal faahaa hay. ||6||
The self-willed manmukhs wander around forever, acting blindly. Death has strung his noose around their necks. ||6||

The same One makes, shapes, adorns, and lets go — all of it part of one great design.
When we live only for passing things, we can wander a little lost.
Still, everyone is held in the One's care, and the way home is always near.
Making and unmaking are both held in one caring hand.
Bhannai gharhay savaaray saajay — the One breaks, builds, adorns and shapes. Making and unmaking are one process in the One's hands. The manmukh wanders, acting blindly, and still no wanderer is beyond reach of home.
