ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ॥
gurmukh naam sabad saalaahay.

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥
agam agochar vayparvaahay.
God is inaccessible, unfathomable and self-sufficient.
ਏਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰਿ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਸਬਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਸਾਹਾ ਹੇ ॥੧੧॥
ayk naam jug chaar uDhaaray sabday naam visaahaa hay. ||11||
The Naam, the Name of the One Lord, saves and redeems throughout the four ages. Through the Shabad, one trades in the Naam. ||11||

The One is beyond reach, beyond need, complete in itself.
The one Name has lifted hearts in every age, and through the Word we come to hold it.

Ayk naam jug chaar udhaaray — the one Name has uplifted across all four ages. Vayparvaah — the One is self-sufficient, needing nothing. The Name is not new or old; it is the constant thread of every era.
