ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ॥
poorai satgur boojh bujhaa-i-aa.

ਹੁਕਮੇ ਹੀ ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
hukmay hee sabh jagat upaa-i-aa.
By the Hukam of His Command, He created the entire Universe.
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਮੰਨੇ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹਾ ਹੇ ॥੩॥
hukam mannay so-ee sukh paa-ay hukam sir saahaa paatisaahaa hay. ||3||
Whoever submits to His Command, finds peace; His Command is above the heads of kings and emperors. ||3||

The perfect Guru gave me this understanding.
By the flow of existence, the whole universe came to be.
The one who moves with that flow finds peace — a flow greater than any king or throne.
The flow of life is greater than any throne.
Hukmay hee sabh jagat upaa-i-aa — the whole world arose by hukam, the flow of existence. Hukam sir saahaa paatisaahaa — that flow is above every king and emperor. Moving with it (hukam mannay) brings peace; it is not a ruler's decree but the way reality itself moves.
